Chiropractor Procedures Represent 43 Percent of the Total Medical Procedures – Used to Treat Injured Workers

SAN FRANCISCO -- According to a research report recently released by the California Workers' Compensation Institute, 43 percent of medical procedures used in workers' compensation involve chiropractors. These procedures, which range from chiropractic manipulation to massage, ultrasound and electrical stimulation, involve billings over an 18-month period of $162,047,463, for which employers and workers' compensation carriers paid $102,203,030.
